Food for thought
Food for thought is a student led club that was founded in 2016 by Brenna Cook class of 2018 and Dr. Susan Agolini, Assistant Professor of Biology and Physical Sciences. The purpose was to engage biology students in a fun community project but has evolved past that into student-run organization that works to alleviate local food insecurity. Originally the club traveled to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church to help with maintaining their garden. Over time the club has expanded its efforts to include running a vegetable garden that yielded over 300 pounds of vegetables for donation in 2018. In 2019 the club began packing brown bag lunches and surplus food from the dining hall that are distributed by ASPAN.
