Enabling the future
Enabling the Future is a global network of volunteers that uses 3D printers to create free prosthetic hands and arms for those in need.
At Marymount University, Dr. Eric Bubar has partnered with this network and incorporated this initiative into his coursework since 2014. The prosthetics made at MU have helped people in the United States, Costa Rica, Uganda, Palestine, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Bubar has taken this project outside of the classroom due to student interest and prints approximately 20 prosthetics a semester.
